Setting Up Your Shipping Discount Offers

Shipping discounts are one of the most effective ways to reduce cart abandonment and increase conversions. But simply creating a discount is not enough how you present it on your storefront plays a major role in its success.
With Discountify, you can not only create shipping discount rules but also highlight them clearly using widgets and announcement bars, ensuring customers see the offer at the right time.
Step 1: Create a Shipping Discount (Quick Setup)
Go to Discountify → Shipping Discount, configure your rule, and click Create.
Once your discount is ready, the next step is to make it visible to your customers.
Step 2: Customize the Announcement Widget
Navigate to the Widget Customization tab to design how your shipping offer appears.
- Choose a style: Simple, Running, or Multiple
- Add your message (e.g., “Free shipping on this order! {link}”)
- Use
{link}to insert a clickable CTA - Set Link Text (e.g., “Shop Now”)
- Add a redirect URL
This helps turn your discount into an actionable message.
Step 3: Match Your Store Branding
Customize the appearance to align with your store design:
- Set Background Color
- Choose Font Color
- Adjust Font Size
Use the Live Preview to ensure the banner looks clean and noticeable without being distracting.
Step 4: Add the Widget to Your Store
Go to your Shopify Theme Editor:
- Click Add Section
- Select Shipping Announcement Bar (Discountify)
- Place it at the top of your store for maximum visibility
- Save your changes
This ensures every visitor sees your shipping offer immediately.
Step 5: Optimize Placement & Messaging
For best results:
- Keep your message short and benefit-focused
- Use action words like “Free Shipping” or “Limited Offer”
- Place the widget where it’s visible without scrolling
- Avoid cluttering with too many messages
